Who is Andrew Que?

I am Andrew Que-- embedded programmer and computer enthusiast with over 10 years of programming experience.  I've been writing software sense I was 12-years-old and have coding professionally now for over 5 years.  I write in C, C++, Pascal, Intel x86/Pentium assembly and a bit of TI C24x DSP assembly.
I've loved computers and electronics all my life as they have always fascinated me.  I began learning to write software in hopes of creating my own video games.  This pursuit thought me the basics of software design and as time went on, I began to develop more and more of an understand of how computers worked.  My projects grew larger and larger-- the code size and complexity growing with them.  About 8 months after I graduated high school, I was asked to come in for an interview for a position to test software for Electro Cam Corp.-- an industrial controls manufacture.  The position had the opportunity for advancement to become a full time software engineer.  Using printouts of source code I had written, I got the job and in a years time, I was writing software full time.
During my time working for this company, I gained an incredible wealth of knowledge.  There were many days I worked long past quitting time-- and not because I needed to.  Often when I got home, I work on my own software projects.
My work with computers has ranged from writing software, graphic design, recording bands, creating web sites, and to collect encryption algorithms.  It's something I've always enjoyed.
Currently, I work for myself as a consultant.  The company I'm currently working with,  DigiCon, Inc., is developing engine controls for large stationary engines.  Although the company is located in Pennsylvania, I live in Kansas City, MO.  Here I operate out of my basement lab, writing software and working on my degree.
For those interested, my résumé can be found here.  (Well, it will be)  And here is my card.
